Violent assaults over disputes reported in Goiás and São Paulo, Brazil

In Anápolis, Goiás, a man named Kássio Dourado was assaulted and his home was invaded by a group of about 30 delivery riders after a disagreement over a food‑order delivery. The incident left Dourado with a severe head wound that required hospital treatment. The local riders’ association said it was not involved in the attack.

In São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, a 44‑year‑old businessman was severely beaten and intubated after a debt‑collection confrontation at a gasoline station. The dispute escalated when the debtor brandished a knife, leading the businessman to retrieve an air‑soft marker before being surrounded and assaulted by a group. He was taken to a local emergency unit and later transferred for further care.
