Violent assaults reported in Palma and Samborondón

Two separate incidents of physical assault have been reported in Spain and Ecuador.

In Palma, a man of South American origin was detained by the National Police after a violent attack on a Spanish boat captain. The confrontation began following a minor collision between two vessels. When the victim stepped onto the pier to resolve the matter, the assailant reportedly struck him in the face without warning. The victim sustained severe injuries, including a broken nose, a lost tooth, and multiple contusions, requiring emergency hospital treatment.

In Samborondón, Ecuador, a parking meter employee was assaulted while performing his duties at the Diana Quintana complex. The attack occurred after the worker attempted to notify a driver of an unpaid parking fee. According to reports, the driver and an accomplice verbally threatened the employee before physically attacking him with punches and a kick to the face. Medical examinations confirmed the worker suffered a fractured nose, and he is currently recovering under medical rest.
