Violent attacks in Brazil: cyclist shot in Rio Branco and rival stabbed in Brasília

A 20‑year‑old cyclist was wounded by gunfire in Rio Branco, Acre, on Saturday morning when two men on a motorcycle opened fire. The shooter hit the victim’s right arm; the cyclist continued pedalling, fell, and suffered a deep cut to the back of his head. In the Federal District, a 25‑year‑old man attacked a rival with a butcher’s knife near the Feira Permanente do Cruzeiro on Wednesday.
