Violent attacks on cyclists reported in Ludwigsfelde and Karlsruhe
In Ludwigsfelde, a nighttime confrontation on Isarstraße left two cyclists injured after a man and a woman were provoked by a passing group. The attackers demanded the man's bag, beat both cyclists, and threatened them with a dangerous object before the victims fled. Police quickly apprehended the 26‑year‑old suspect and a juvenile, charging them with bodily injury, robbery and threats.
In Karlsruhe, a daytime dispute at the Sophie‑Leopold intersection escalated when a driver of a white Toyota Aygo allegedly exited his vehicle and repeatedly punched an older cyclist in the face. Both the driver and the cyclist could not be located at the scene, and investigators are seeking witnesses to identify the parties involved. Police have opened a bodily injury investigation.
