Violent Brawl in Šmarješke Toplice Leaves One Severely Injured

On 28 June, a large fight broke out on a parking lot in the Slovenian spa town of Šmarješke Toplice. Several assailants attacked three people with clubs and a pepper‑spray canister before fleeing in a car. The victims – a 38‑year‑old man, a minor girl and a minor boy – were taken to hospital; the man’s condition later worsened, prompting a second medical visit.

Police arrived, carried out house searches at the suspects’ residences and seized a signal pistol and two cannabis seedlings. Two suspects were detained and charged, while the investigation into the assault continues.
