Violent crimes reported in Kaohsiung and Dongguan

In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a 36-year-old man was arrested after attacking his 25-year-old girlfriend with an axe during a dispute in the Lingya District. The victim sustained injuries to her arm and knee but remained conscious and is not in life-threatening condition. During the investigation, police discovered Ketamine in the suspect's vehicle and confirmed a positive drug test via saliva screening. The suspect faces charges including attempted murder, driving under the influence of drugs, and violations of the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act.

In Dongguan, China, a woman identified as Hu has been charged with murder and theft following the killing and dismemberment of her 49-year-old partner, Tang. The incident occurred in February when Hu allegedly killed Tang while he was napping and hid his remains on a building rooftop. To conceal the crime, Hu reportedly used the victim's social media accounts to post updates, falsely claiming he was alive and planning to visit friends in Hangzhou. The deception was uncovered by the victim's son after noticing suspicious digital artifacts in social media posts and unusual behavior. The case has moved to the prosecution stage.
