Violent crimes reported in La Plata and Querétaro

In La Plata, Argentina, a 75-year-old retiree was subjected to a violent robbery at his home near the criminal court headquarters. Four unidentified assailants entered the residence, where they beat the victim, tied his hands and feet, and threatened him with a knife for approximately one hour. The attackers demanded US dollars and fled with a cell phone, personal documents, a gold ring, and several bank cards. The victim sustained injuries to his face, back, wrists, and feet.

In San Juan del Río, Querétaro, Mexico, a man identified as Pablo “N” has been processed for attempted femicide. Authorities allege that the suspect intentionally attempted to run over his former partner with a vehicle while she was traveling on a motorcycle. The investigation noted a history of physical and psychological violence dating back to September 2022. A judge has ordered preventive detention for the suspect while complementary investigations continue.
