Violent crimes reported in Ramacca, Sellia Marina and Sant’Arcangelo, Italy

In Ramacca, a 17‑year‑old was assaulted by a group of youths who beat him, threatened him with a knife and stole his motorbike before he fled. Carabinieri used video evidence to identify a peer and filed a robbery‑in‑concert charge against him.

During the opening of an entertainment venue in Sellia Marina on May 31, a fight broke out between two groups of young people, involving about one hundred individuals. Seven people, including two minors, were charged with assault and drunkenness, and a 24‑year‑old woman was taken to hospital for alcohol intoxication before being released.

In Sant’Arcangelo (province of Potenza), five suspects were placed under house arrest for aggravated robbery, personal injuries and stalking after an investigation began in May when a young man reported being threatened and assaulted by a group. Carabinieri gathered evidence and the prosecutor secured restrictive measures against the alleged perpetrators.
