Violent domestic disputes lead to fatalities in Togo and Zambia

In Togo, a violent machete attack in the village of Gnangbandi, near Mango, resulted in the death of 54-year-old carpenter A. Taminou. The suspect, identified as Kodjokan Souleymane, allegedly ambushed Taminou and his new wife, M. Foulera, as they arrived in the village. During the attack, the suspect struck Taminou in the head and hand, and injured Foulera's hand. Although the victims were rushed to the hospital, Taminou succumbed to his injuries. The suspect fled to Ghana, where he was briefly apprehended by Ghanaian police and returned to Togolese authorities, but he has since escaped and remains at large.

In Zambia, a 26-year-old mother of three, Vainess Kanyama, died following a violent confrontation in the Kapoto neighborhood of Kitwe. The incident occurred after Kanyama confronted Christin Ntundwe, a woman suspected of being her husband's mistress. An autopsy revealed that Kanyama died from severe blood clots in both sides of the brain caused by blows to the head. The suspect, Ntundwe, fled the scene and is currently being sought by Zambian police.
