Violent incidents reported in Kanasín, Ciudad del Este, and Horqueta
Multiple violent incidents have been reported in Mexico and Paraguay. In Kanasín, a confrontation between several men in the Francisco Villa Oriente neighborhood resulted in one death and six arrests. Authorities located an unidentified man, approximately 40 years old, deceased with visible injuries near the site of the fight. Investigators are working to determine the exact cause of death.
In Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, a dispute between two associates escalated into a physical fight involving a machete. Lázaro Beleno García (44) sustained injuries to his arm and clavicle, while Óscar Fernando Benítez Arizaga (27) was detained with a 60-centimeter stainless steel machete. Benítez was already subject to several precautionary measures for prior offenses. Both men have been placed under preventive detention by the prosecutor's office.
Additionally, in Horqueta, Paraguay, an 18-year-old motorcyclist, Julio César Romero González, died following a head-on collision with a Mercedes-Benz truck. The driver of the truck stated he attempted to signal a turn before the impact occurred.
