Violent Night 2 set for simultaneous US and Japan release in 2026

The sequel to the Christmas action film ‘Violent Night’, titled ‘Violent Night 2’, is scheduled for a simultaneous release in Japan and the United States on December 4, 2026.

In this installment, David Harbour reprises his role as Santa Claus. The plot follows a version of Santa who has lost his magical powers and is listed on the ‘naughty list’ after losing sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Now a mere mortal, he must defend a shopping mall from a ruthless gang.

New to the cast is Kristen Bell, who will play Mrs. Claus, joining the action with swordplay to assist her husband. The film is produced by 87North Productions, with Kelly McCormick and David Leitch serving as producers, and Tommy Wirkola returning as director. The cast also includes Jared Harris and Joe Pantoliano.
