Violent Night 2 trailer reveals David Harbour returns as Santa

Universal Pictures released the first trailer for the sequel *Violent Night 2*, scheduled to open worldwide on 4 December 2026. The film brings back David Harbour as a battle‑hardened Santa Claus, joined by Kristen Bell in her debut as Mrs. Claus. The antagonist is a ruthless crime boss played by Jared Harris, who terrorises merchants in the Silver Bell Mall.

The sequel reunites director Tommy Wirkola with writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller, and is produced by 87North founders Kelly McCormick and David Leitch. After losing his magical powers, Santa must rely on his combat experience and rediscover the true spirit of Christmas to protect the mall’s community.

The trailer emphasizes the franchise’s blend of over‑the‑top violence, dark comedy and holiday themes, promising another R‑rated, action‑packed holiday adventure.
