Mexico City: Suspected gang member killed in Peralvillo shooting

A fatal shooting occurred in the Peralvillo neighborhood of Mexico City's Cuauhtémoc borough. Two separate reports describe an armed attack targeting a man inside a vehicle at the intersection of Ronda and Calzada de los Misterios, as well as near Sebastián Bach and Juventino Rosas.

In one instance, the victim has been identified as Luis Rodríguez, also known as ‘El Chilaquil,’ who is allegedly a member of the criminal group La Unión Tepito. Authorities noted that Rodríguez had been sought by police since March, when a raid on a residence resulted in the arrest of his wife.

In both incidents, the assailants reportedly fled the scene on a motorcycle. The Mexico City Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and the General Prosecutor's Office (FGJCDMX) are conducting investigations, reviewing surveillance footage to identify the perpetrators.
