Violent shootings reported in Sabaneta and Breña

Two separate violent incidents involving firearms were reported in Sabaneta, Colombia, and Breña, Peru.

In Sabaneta, near the Aves María Shopping Center, two suspects on a motorcycle attempted to rob a vehicle. The driver responded by drawing a firearm and firing at the suspects, causing a shootout. The assailants fled the scene on their motorcycle, and no injuries were reported.

In the Breña district of Lima, a shooting during a social gathering left one man dead and four others injured. The victim, identified as 42-year-old John Alaín Pérez Huamán, died at the Hospital Santa Rosa. According to the Peruvian National Police, an armed individual entered a residence and opened fire on attendees. The suspects fled on foot after abandoning a motorcycle with an altered license plate.
