Violinist David Garrett releases new album ‘Immortal’
Violinist David Garrett has released a new album titled ‘Immortal’ through Deutsche Grammophon. The 46-year-old musician’s latest work features a blend of classical masterpieces and contemporary film scores.
The album includes arrangements of works by Mozart, Bach, and Debussy, alongside the film music of John Williams. Garrett, who co-arranged the tracks with John Haywood and Franck van der Heijden, also provides a new interpretation of Puccini’s ‘Nessun Dorma’.
In discussions regarding the technical aspects of the album, Garrett identified Nováček’s ‘Perpetuum Mobile’ as the most difficult piece to perform, while naming Debussy’s ‘Beau Soir’ as his personal favorite.
