Roman Night in Narona raises funds for India and Uganda missions

The traditional Roman Night in Narona will take place on Friday, 31 July 2026 in the village of Vid near Metković, Croatia. All proceeds from food sales are earmarked for the missionary projects of Father Ante Gabrić in India and Uganda.

The event is organised jointly by the Father Ante Gabrić Foundation and Metković Secondary School and supported by the Metković Tourist Board, the Narona Archaeological Museum, the City of Metković, the Dubrovnik‑Neretva County Tourist Board and the Croatian National Tourist Board. The programme includes children’s workshops, a lecture by archaeologist Ivana Ožanić Roguljić on ancient Narona, demonstrations of Roman hairstyles and stone‑carving, a market of local products, a fire‑dance by the Vodorige group, storytelling, gladiator battles, exotic dance performances and a fire show. Free transport for visitors is provided by Čazmatrans.
