Viral animal stories capture social media attention

Two separate incidents involving animals have gained significant traction on social media.

In Paraguay, a dog named Menor gained international attention for his loyalty to his owner, a traveler who suffered a domestic accident in Carapeguá. As the owner was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Asunción, Menor refused to leave his side, following him through the corridors and attempting to reach him on the stretcher. While the owner recovers, the dog has been placed in a temporary home by the organization Olfateando Huellas.

In Brazil, a stray dog became the center of a viral video during a marriage proposal in Sapiranga. The couple, Giovana Vieira and Eduardo Menger Bilhalva, did not realize the dog was present during the emotional moment until they reviewed the footage later. The video has since surpassed 600,000 views.
