Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma discuss viral ‘Ro-Ko’ nickname

Indian cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have commented on the popular fan-made nicknames used to describe their partnership and other personal connections. During the ongoing ODI series against the West Indies, the duo discussed the viral moniker ‘Ro-Ko’, which combines their names.

Rohit Sharma noted that he and Kohli often laugh when the tag appears on television, remarking that fans enjoy the ‘masala’ provided by such trends. Kohli added that the nickname ‘has a nice ring to it’ and acknowledged its utility for broadcasters.

Kohli also reflected on other popular nicknames, including ‘Virushka’, a combination of his name and his wife Anushka Sharma’s name, and ‘Mahirat’, which refers to the friendship between Kohli and MS Dhoni. He described ‘Mahirat’ as a transition from romance to ‘bromance’ in the eyes of fans.
