Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma target 2027 ODI World Cup FAST-MOVING

Indian cricket legends Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have shared significant updates regarding their futures in One Day International (ODI) cricket. Ahead of India’s ODI series against the West Indies, Kohli confirmed that the 2027 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, will be his final appearance in the tournament for India. Kohli expressed that his primary motivation is to secure the trophy in his final campaign.

Rohit Sharma, who has already retired from Test and T20I cricket, also indicated his commitment to the ODI format. He stated that he views the 2027 World Cup as a goal to fulfill ‘unfinished business,’ noting that he remains motivated to compete on the global stage.

In recent match action, India secured an eight-wicket victory over the West Indies in the opening ODI at Thiruvananthapuram. During the match, Kohli reached a historic milestone by becoming the fastest player to score 15,000 ODI runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s previous record. Shubman Gill also contributed significantly with a century, while Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets to help lead India to victory.
