Virat Kohli meets Eknath Shinde in London to discuss Maharashtra development

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli met with Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in London during Shinde’s official visit to the United Kingdom. The meeting, described by Shinde as a goodwill visit, focused on several key areas including sports development, youth talent identification, and Maharashtra’s infrastructure projects.

Shinde noted that Maharashtra currently ranks first in GDP, startups, infrastructure, and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

Regarding sports, the two discussed ways to encourage young talent and provide better opportunities for athletes to compete at higher levels. Shinde praised Kohli’s personality, describing him as a “down-to-earth” individual.
