Virat Kohli receives enthusiastic welcome in Auckland

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli arrived at Auckland Airport on Friday, October 30, amid large crowds of fans ahead of India’s five-match One Day International (ODI) series against New Zealand. The veteran batter, who is accompanied by Rohit Sharma, was met by supporters chanting his name and requesting autographs and selfies.

Security personnel were required to escort Kohli through the airport as the crowd grew large. Some fans displayed posters offering early birthday wishes for his upcoming birthday on November 5. The series is scheduled to begin at Eden Park in Auckland on November 4, with subsequent matches taking place in Wellington, Hamilton, and Mount Maunganui.

The upcoming tour provides Kohli an opportunity to improve his ODI batting average in New Zealand, which currently stands below 50, unlike his averages in other SENA countries.
