Virgil van Dijk linked with AC Milan move as Liverpool eyes successor

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is facing uncertainty regarding his future at Anfield as his current contract approaches its final stages. Speculation has intensified regarding a potential move to Italian giants AC Milan, with reports suggesting the Rossoneri are interested in signing the 35-year-old defender, potentially as a free agent or through a transfer fee.

While Van Dijk has not yet engaged in fresh contract negotiations with Liverpool, the club is reportedly already planning for life after the veteran center-back. Tottenham Hotspur's Micky van de Ven has emerged as a primary candidate to succeed him, with Liverpool monitoring the Dutch defender as a potential £90 million replacement.

Despite the rumors, Van Dijk remains a central figure in Liverpool's defense, recently forming a strong partnership with Jérémy Jacquet. His long-term future remains a subject of debate among club leadership and interested parties in Serie A and Turkey.
