Virgin Voyages launches 2026 solar eclipse cruises with NASA astronauts

Virgin Voyages announced two adult‑only sailings in August 2026 timed to the total solar eclipse that will cross the Atlantic. The Valiant Lady will sail 5‑20 August from Portsmouth through the British Isles and Iceland, calling at Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, Belfast, Reykjavik and Edinburgh. The Scarlet Lady will sail 10‑22 August from Barcelona to Rome, visiting Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Cannes, Ajaccio, the Tuscan coast, the Amalfi Coast and Catania.

Both itineraries include onboard programming with NASA astronauts, Virgin Galactic pilots, a solar physicist and a photography masterclass, plus shore‑based excursions such as a Belfast observatory visit with cider tasting, a Mallorcan cave tour, yoga and a sound bath in Ibiza, and a geothermal soak on Iceland’s Troll Peninsula.
