Virginia and Arkansas to meet in Capital Showcase

The Virginia Cavaliers and Arkansas Razorbacks are scheduled to face each other in the Capital Showcase on Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The Gazelle Group announced the nonconference matchup will tip off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

This marks the first time in Arkansas program history that the team will play a game in Washington, D.C. The series between the two programs dates back to 1984, with Virginia holding a 4-3 all-time advantage. Arkansas has won the last two meetings in the series.

Public ticket sales are set to begin on Friday, Sept. 4. Both teams enter the matchup following successful 2025-26 seasons; Virginia posted a 30-6 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament, while Arkansas finished 28-9, won the SEC Tournament, and reached the NCAA Sweet 16.
