Singer Virginia Da Cunha, a former member of the musical group Bandana, has addressed public criticism regarding her relationship with DJ and music producer Samir Jaliff, who is 19 years her junior.

Using Instagram stories, the 44-year-old artist shared reflections on her life stages and challenged societal prejudices about age gaps. She described age as a “trap of the system,” stating that she has held this perspective since she was 20 years old. Da Cunha emphasized that personal evolution is more important than chronological age, noting, “It is not how many years you have, but what you do in the years you live.”

The couple, who made their relationship public in 2025, have also begun collaborating on musical projects.
