Virginia Fonseca and WePink denied R$ 30,000 lawsuit
A Brazilian court has denied a request for R$ 30,000 in moral damages filed by a fan against influencer Virginia Fonseca and her company, WePink. The lawsuit originated from a promotional giveaway held in January 2025, where the winner, Carla Verônica Batista Ramalho, was promised a personal meeting with Fonseca along with coverage of travel, lodging, and meal expenses.
Although the meeting never took place, the Juizado Especial Adjunto Cível de Rio Bonito acknowledged a breach of contract but ruled that the incident did not constitute moral damages. The court classified the situation as a “mero aborrecimento inerente ao cotidiano” (mere annoyance inherent to daily life).
Following months of failed attempts to schedule the meeting, WePink offered a settlement consisting of R$ 1,500 and 20 brand products. While the fan initially sued because two products were missing from the delivery, the company stated the items were out of stock. The missing products were reportedly delivered in March 2026, but the legal claim for moral damages proceeded regardless.
