Virginia Fonseca ends partnership with Blaze amid legal action

Influencer and entrepreneur Virginia Fonseca has ended her commercial partnership with the digital betting platform Blaze. The announcement was made by her agency, VF Digital, stating the termination was formalized according to existing contractual terms.

The decision comes amid a civil public action filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) against Fonseca and Foggo Entertainment Ltda., the operator of Blaze. The investigation was triggered by over 42,000 consumer complaints involving allegations of account blocking, fund retention, and generic justifications for service issues.

The MPDFT is seeking a collective moral damages payment of at least R$ 120 million. Prosecutors allege that the advertising practices promoted a perception of easy income while downplaying financial risks. The legal action also targets the use of terms like “extra income” in promotional content.
