Virginia Fonseca ends Blaze partnership amid legal action

Influencer Virginia Fonseca has officially ended her commercial partnership with the betting platform Blaze. The announcement was made by her agency, VF Digital, which stated that the contract was terminated in accordance with established contractual terms and that the cycle ended regularly.

The decision follows legal action taken by the Ministério Público do Distrito Federal e Territórios (MPDFT). The public civil action, initiated in July, questions the transparency and clarity of betting advertisements promoted to Fonseca’s followers, alleging potentially abusive practices that may violate consumer protection norms.

Reports indicate that the MPDFT is seeking collective moral damages of R$ 120 million. The investigation follows approximately 42,000 complaints against the platform. Additionally, the Court of Justice had previously ordered the removal of content that presented betting as a guaranteed source of income or a solution to financial difficulties.
