Virginia Fonseca faces R$ 120 million lawsuit over Blaze advertising

The Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT) has failed in multiple attempts to locate digital influencer Virginia Fonseca to serve her with a legal summons. The notification concerns a public civil action brought by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Federal District and Territories (MPDFT) against Fonseca and the betting platform Blaze.

The lawsuit seeks at least R$ 120 million in compensation for collective moral damages, alleging that Fonseca engaged in misleading advertising for sports betting. The prosecution claims her promotional campaigns induced consumers into error. Following the legal developments, Fonseca has reportedly terminated her advertising contract with Blaze.

In addition to the financial penalty, the prosecution requested the immediate removal of promotional content from her Instagram account, which has over 53 million followers. While an initial injunction was denied, the TJDFT later granted an appeal to mandate the removal of the materials.
