Virginia Fonseca's WePink anniversary event sparks multiple controversies

Influencer Virginia Fonseca recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of her brand, WePink, with an event in São Paulo that became the center of several social media controversies.

During the celebration, influencer Rico Melquiades faced accusations of religious intolerance after referring to singer Anitta as a “macumbeira” in a video. Melquiades also used the event to provoke Anitta, expressing disdain for her following the recent news regarding Anitta's appointment as the new drum queen for the Grande Rio samba school.

The event was also marked by tension when Fonseca became trapped in an elevator with her business partners. Additionally, some fans expressed frustration and booed after the influencer left the venue without stopping to meet with those waiting outside.

Separately, media personality Sonia Abrão criticized Anitta, labeling her “arrogant” and “prepotent” following reports that the singer declined a coronation ceremony involving Fonseca during the transition of roles at the Grande Rio samba school.
