Virginia Tech and Villanova secure dominant shutout victories in women's soccer
In collegiate women's soccer, Virginia Tech secured a 6-0 shutout victory against VMI. The win marks the second for the Hokies this season and represents their highest scoring output since 2021. Head coach Chugger Adair achieved his 175th career win, becoming only the seventh coach in ACC history to reach that milestone.
Goals for Virginia Tech were provided by Anna Weir, Letizia Rossi, Johannah Bradley, Ellie Robertson, and Gabby Ciocca.
In a separate matchup, Villanova defeated Lehigh with a 9-0 scoreline. Morgan Kotch led the Wildcats with two goals, including a brace scored within the first five minutes of play. The victory featured goals from eight different Villanova players, including first collegiate goals for Tea Gambardella, Kaydee Amorosa, Becca Miller, and Abby Graul.
