Virginia Tech Unveils 2026-27 Men's Golf Schedule and Names Top Football Offensive Backups

Virginia Tech head men's golf coach Brian Sharp announced the Hokies' 2026-27 schedule, featuring ten regular‑season tournaments across seven states and Puerto Rico. The season opens Aug. 31‑Sept. 1 at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate in Tennessee and includes events in North Carolina, Maryland, Alabama and a spring start in Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico, before concluding with the ACC Championship in Texas and the NCAA Championship in California.

In football, the Hokies highlighted four offensive reserves who could impact the upcoming season. Slot receiver Takye Heath, who posted a career‑best in 2025, is listed as the top backup. Tight end competition centers on Benji Gosnell and Luke Reynolds, who together have amassed 932 career yards. Additional depth is noted among boundary receivers Snook Peterkin, Keylan Adams and Chanz Wiggins.
