Virginie Efira receives Leopard Club Award at Locarno Film Festival

Actress Virginie Efira was honored with the Leopard Club Award at the 79th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The award recognises her significant contribution to Francophone and international cinema, highlighting her reputation as a leading figure in contemporary French‑language film.

During the ceremony Efira also presented the French‑language debut of Japanese director Ryusuke Hamaguchi, the film "Soudain," for which she earlier this year won the Cannes best actress prize. Festival director Giona Nazzaro praised her for bringing a unique sensitivity and vitality to her roles.
