Virtual IT Group launches new AI and cyber security services

Virtual IT Group (VITG) has introduced new managed services and managed security offerings aimed at helping organizations in Australia and New Zealand address AI-driven cyber risks. The new solutions, named Modern Managed Services (MMS) and Managed Detection & Response (MDR), are part of a broader transformation strategy following recent acquisitions.

MMS utilizes a ‘Modern Defensible Architecture’ framework to integrate security controls, governance, and operational best practices into daily IT management. MDR provides 24/7 Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities, employing advanced analytics to monitor and respond to threats.

VITG chief product officer Jeremy Nees noted that traditional managed service provider solutions may be insufficient as businesses adopt AI. The new MMS service incorporates principles such as ‘Secure-by-Design, Defense in Depth, and Zero Trust’ to ensure foundational security is present from the outset.
