Virtuosas: Brazilian horror film trailer released

The first official trailer for ‘Virtuosas’, a Brazilian horror film blending dark humor and suspense, has been released. Directed by Cíntia Domit Bittar and filmed in Florianópolis, the movie explores themes of gender roles and female submission through a satirical lens.

The plot follows Virgínia, a digital coach and influencer played by Bruna Linzmeyer, who targets a conservative female audience. The story centers on an exclusive VIP retreat organized by Virgínia to promote the concept of the ‘virtuous woman,’ a term often associated with traditionalist values and biblical interpretations of Proverbs 31.

As the retreat progresses, the narrative shifts from a search for self-improvement into a tense and unsettling experience. The production was recognized by the ‘Goes to Cannes’ program and is scheduled for theatrical release in Brazil on September 24.
