Visa project supports 27,000 women-owned businesses in Vietnam

The “Accelerating My Business” (AMB) project has concluded its three-year implementation, having supported over 27,000 micro and small businesses owned by women in Vietnam. The initiative was a collaborative effort between Visa, The Asia Foundation (TAF), the Center for Women's Development (CWD), and local microfinance institutions.

The program focused on enhancing digital, financial, and business management skills through a combination of online learning, mentoring, and networking. Key outcomes include over 94% of participating businesses integrating digital solutions into their daily operations, and 75% expanding their business to online sales channels. Additionally, 97% of participants reported significant improvements in their business capabilities, with 94% noting an expanded customer base.

To ensure local impact, the project trained 480 mentors from partner microfinance organizations, including TYM, Thanh Hoa MFI, and VietED. Furthermore, 100 women-led businesses received seed funding through a Business Development Challenge Fund to support innovation and expansion.
