Visa reports record fiscal year revenue and strong quarterly profit

Visa has reported record net revenue of 46 billion USD for its 2025/26 fiscal year, representing a 15 percent increase compared to the previous year. This growth marks the company's strongest performance in 15 years, excluding the post-pandemic recovery and acquisitions.

For the fourth quarter, Visa's net income rose to 6 billion USD, or 3.19 USD per share, up from 5.1 billion USD, or 2.62 USD per share, in the prior-year period. Quarterly revenue increased by 13 percent to 12.14 billion USD, surpassing analyst expectations. Key drivers included a 9 percent increase in payment volumes, a 10 percent rise in processed transactions, and a 14 percent jump in cross-border volumes.

Despite the strong financial results, Visa's shares experienced downward pressure in extended trading. The company also faces potential legal risks following the filing of class-action lawsuits in the United Kingdom regarding alleged excessive interchange fees.
