Vishnu Deo Sai celebrates Raksha Bandhan and addresses Nepal floods

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan at his official residence in Raipur, where women from various sectors of society tied rakhis on his wrist. Among the participants were representatives from self-help groups, journalists, and the widow of the late Colonel Ashok Kumar Dubey, the first soldier from Chhattisgarh to join the army.

In a separate statement, Chief Minister Sai expressed condolences regarding the devastating floods in Nepal. He noted reports of missing persons from both India and his state. In response to the crisis, the government has established a control room and issued helpline numbers to assist those in need. Recent data indicates that the floods in the Bhote Koshi river have resulted in 469 deaths, with 977 people still reported missing.
