Vishnu Manchu eyes animation for Indian mythology projects
Actor and filmmaker Vishnu Manchu has expressed interest in expanding his creative work into the animation and anime sectors. Speaking at the Japanese Entertainment Exhibition in Dubai, Manchu stated that animation represents a “natural next chapter” for his career, allowing for the portrayal of Indian mythology without the physical and budgetary limitations of live-action filmmaking.
Manchu noted the growing popularity of anime in India and aims to use the medium to bring culturally rooted stories to a global audience. This follows his recent work on the mythological film “Kannappa,” which he also produced.
In a separate personal update, Manchu shared that he has successfully restored a vintage Premier Padmini, which was the first car owned by his father, Mohan Babu. He described the restoration as a way to preserve a piece of family history.
