Vishwak Sen releases trailer for slasher thriller ‘Cult’

The trailer for ‘Cult’, an upcoming film starring and directed by Vishwak Sen, has been released. Produced by Sandeep Kakarala under Tarak Cinemas, the project is being promoted as India’s first authentic slasher thriller, reportedly inspired by real-life incidents.

The film’s plot centers on more than 300 people trapped within an isolated island estate in Goa. The property is secured by electric fencing and an entrance rigged with RDX explosives, forcing the occupants to participate in deadly games to survive. Vishwak Sen portrays DSP Sankalp Nayak, an aggressive police officer with a strong aversion to drugs and a unique approach to fighting crime.

‘Cult’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 30, with simultaneous releases planned in Telugu, Hindi, English, Japanese, and Spanish. The technical team includes cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan and background score composer Ravi Basrur.
