Vision Products warehouse fire breaks out in Gujarat’s Dahej industrial area

A massive fire broke out at the Vision Products Pvt Ltd warehouse in the Dahej GIDC industrial area of Bharuch, Gujarat, during the early hours of Monday, August 17. The blaze originated in drums containing solvents stored within the warehouse.

Emergency responders deployed approximately eight firefighting teams using water and foam to combat the flames. While loud sounds resembling blasts were heard up to seven kilometers away, Dinesh Gamit, Deputy Director of the Industrial Safety and Health Department, clarified that no explosion occurred.

No casualties were reported as no personnel were inside the warehouse at the time of the incident. While the fire was largely brought under control, cooling operations were required to prevent reignition as the remaining solvent burned. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, with officials considering a solvent spill or static charge as potential triggers. A detailed assessment of property and machinery damage will follow once the site is fully extinguished.
