Visioni dal Mondo International Documentary Festival holds 12th edition

The 12th edition of the Visioni dal Mondo International Documentary Festival is currently being held in Milan and is also available for streaming on MYmovies ONE until September 27. Centered on the theme ‘Beyond the Border,’ the festival explores how boundaries—whether geographic, social, or personal—are constantly evolving.

The program includes 21 films available for streaming, covering topics such as migration, climate crisis, digital identity, and scientific discovery. Notable selections include ‘We Are Stardust,’ which follows Jon Larsen’s search for micrometeorites, and ‘Bòghes – Storia di un coro sardo a New York,’ which tracks a Sardinian choir's journey to the United States.

Artistic director Maurizio Nichetti and president Francesco Bizzarri noted that the films serve as bridges between cultures and perspectives. The festival features both Italian and international competition, aiming to use real-life cinema to interrogate reality and look beyond immediate appearances.
