Honor, iQOO, and OnePlus prepare high-performance gaming smartphones

Several Chinese smartphone manufacturers are preparing to launch high-performance gaming devices featuring advanced display technologies and high refresh rates.

Honor is developing the Win 2 series, which is expected to feature a world-first combination of 2K resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. The display panels for this lineup, including the Win 2, Win RT2, and Win Turbo 2, are reportedly being supplied by Visionox. These devices may also include large batteries up to 12,070 mAh and active cooling systems.

iQOO has unveiled official images for the Neo12, which features a design co-developed with the China Academy of Art. The device is slated for release on October 28 and will include the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 9,000mAh battery, and a 2K 185Hz screen.

Additionally, leaks regarding the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro suggest it will also target high-performance gaming, with testing showing stable performance at 185 frames per second in intensive titles like Delta Force. The device is expected to utilize a dual-vent active cooling architecture to manage heat during high-load gameplay.
