VisionQuest: Ultron returns inside Vision's mind
Actors Paul Bettany and James Spader have shared new details regarding the upcoming Marvel Studios series ‘VisionQuest’, set to premiere on Disney+ on October 14. The series serves as a conclusion to the trilogy that began with ‘WandaVision’ and continued with ‘Agatha All Along’.
Spader revealed that the villain Ultron has not been destroyed since the events of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’, but has instead been confined within Vision’s consciousness for approximately 14 years. During this time, Ultron has had access to the internet, television, and history, and has reportedly taken up painting while ‘making trouble’.
The show will focus on Vision’s identity crisis as he navigates the world and attempts to understand his existence. Within Vision’s mental space, which resembles a large mansion, he interacts with various artificial intelligences including Ultron, J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., DUM-E, and U. Bettany described the dynamic between Vision and Ultron as a complex mixture of “father-son-therapist-psychopath”.
