VisionQuest reveals key vulnerabilities for Vision in new Disney+ series

The first two episodes of the Disney+ series ‘VisionQuest’ establish significant physical, technological, and psychological vulnerabilities for the character Vision. Set approximately four and a half years after ‘WandaVision’, the series finds the synthezoid living off the grid in Scotland.

During a confrontation with the bounty hunter Paladin, Vision is targeted with adamantium rounds capable of piercing his vibranium armor. Additionally, an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) cage nearly causes a total system failure, highlighting his susceptibility to electronic warfare. To prevent a complete shutdown, the AI personality J.A.R.V.I.S. sacrifices itself to redirect processing power to Vision and other internal AI systems, including E.D.I.T.H., F.R.I.D.A.Y., and Ultron.

Beyond physical threats, the series explores Vision’s internal identity crisis. He struggles with his connection to his past and his refusal to acknowledge emotional ties to his former life, a conflict further complicated by the presence of Ultron within his mind.
