Visit México adds online booking for flights, Tren Maya tickets, hotels

The Visit México platform has launched an online purchasing module that lets users buy Mexicana Aviación airline tickets, Tren Maya rail tickets and hotel rooms from Grupo Mundo Maya in a single transaction. The service was introduced in coordination with Mexico’s Secretaría de Turismo and the Agencia de Transformación Digital y Telecomunicaciones, and payments can be made with Visa or Mastercard.

Multiple fare categories are offered, including Premier, Tourist (national and international), Local (for residents of the Maya region), Special (for seniors, students and people with reduced mobility) and Convenio (for military and certain employees). The integration is intended to simplify travel planning, improve tourism connectivity and broaden access to cultural, historic and natural attractions across Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo.
