Visit Myloi Junior launches educational platform for children
The Visit Myloi website has introduced ‘Visit Myloi Junior’, a new free digital section designed for children aged 9 to 12. The platform aims to teach the history and mythology of Myloi, located in the Argos-Mykines municipality, through simplified language, interactive games, and printable materials.
Guided by a local character named Kostas, the content covers several key themes: the Myloi trains, the Lernaean Hydra, the castle on Pontinos Hill, and the harbor with its lighthouse. The platform provides specialized resources for different audiences, including classroom presentation kits with quizzes and slides, as well as a family-oriented treasure hunt featuring eight stops around the old railway station.
To support education, the site offers printable coloring pages and allows students to use its photographs for school projects with proper attribution. The service is available in Greek, English, Dutch, and Polish, and operates without advertisements or cookies. The project is managed by a non-profit group of local residents dedicated to preserving and sharing regional history with younger generations.
