Visit USA-Costa Rica hosts tourism professional summit in San José

The Visit USA-Costa Rica Committee held the “Redescubramos Estados Unidos” event at the Radisson Hotel in San José, gathering 180 tourism professionals to expand knowledge of U.S. destinations and create new commercial opportunities for the Costa Rican industry.

During the event, the Committee announced a renewed organizational phase, presenting itself as a legally constituted entity with a mission to increase travel to the United States. The gathering included 21 commercial stands and participation from travel agents, airlines, wholesalers, and operators.

Key attendees included Melinda Hildebrand, the U.S. Ambassador to Costa Rica, and Marcos Borges, executive president of the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT). Representatives from the U.S. Department of Commerce and various Costa Rican travel associations also participated in the training and networking sessions.
