Visma | Lease a Bike appoints Nathan Van Hooydonck as Head of Sport Management

Visma | Lease a Bike has announced two key staff changes for the 2027 season. Nathan Van Hooydonck has been appointed as the new Head of Sport Management. Van Hooydonck, a former professional cyclist, was forced to retire in 2023 due to heart issues following a cardiac arrest. Since his retirement, he has worked within the team's hospitality and business departments.

In his new role, Van Hooydonck will lead the Sport Management Team (SMT), overseeing long-term sporting visions and key objectives while ensuring the team's values and culture remain central to sporting decisions. He will work alongside CEO Richard Plugge and other department heads, including Marc Reef, Mathieu Heijboer, Robbert de Groot, and Patrick Broe.

Additionally, the team confirmed that Addy Engels will return to the formation after a one-season stint with Tudor.
