Visma | Lease a Bike secures two world champions amid transfer shifts

Visma | Lease a Bike has secured significant talent through recent World Championship victories, despite facing budget challenges compared to rivals like UAE Team Emirates. Within a 24-hour period, the team added two world champions to its roster: Slovakia’s Viktoria Chladonová, who won the under-23 women’s road race, and American Ashlin Barry, who secured the men’s under-23 road race title.

In transfer news, the team may miss out on signing classics specialist Davide Ballerini for 2027. Ballerini, currently with Astana and a former Giro d’Italia stage winner, is reportedly close to committing to Pinarello-Q36. This development comes as Visma | Lease a Bike navigates a shifting competitive landscape where other teams, such as Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe and Lidl-Trek, are reportedly operating with higher annual budgets.
